MAMA WAVE is an audiovisual collection of spoken word poetry and visual art. It’s a poem novella which, along with my paintings, tells the story of my journey of motherhood so far - spanning seven years and several geographies, from Southeast Asia to my home of Wales.

MAMA WAVE shares the miraculous highs, crashing lows, and everything in between - on this sometimes rocky ‘wave’. Sharing words from my heart with mothers on all kinds of journeys of their own, is the gift that keeps me writing.

My poetry honours, and resonates with mothers like myself who are on unexpected and unpredictable paths: rare mamas - mothers and carers to children with rare diseases, complex medical needs and disabilities; bereaved mamas; healing mamas; and all of those fiercely seeking adventure for our families and finding ways to live joyfully, in spite of tremendous challenge. My poems are inspired by my love for my children, nature, travel, and the ocean.
